Granite

Granite is a coarse grained igneous rock made up of quartz, alkai feldspar, and plagioclase.  Granite typically is 20% to 60% quartz by volume.  Granite is a very strong, scratch resistant, and temperature resistant material making it perfect for kitchen countertops where you can set hot cookware on top without worrying about damage.  Granite is a natural stone product with no other by products added to it during the manufacturing process.
