Engineered Quartz

Engineered Stone is a composite material made up of one or more types of crushed stone, then bound together using resin or cement.  Composition is typically 66% stone, 33% bonding agent ( resin or cement). Material is typically available in 12mm, 20mm, or 30mm thicknesses.  Engineered Quartz should not be used in outdoor applications as the resigns used are not resistent to UV light.  They are also sensitive to heat, with damage possible with temperatures as low as 150C ( 300F ).
